Agoura Hills Acting Coach Found Guilty of Lewd Act on 13-year old Girl
Los Angeles County District Attorney News Release:
An acting coach was found guilty on August 26, 2015 of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl six years ago.
Jurors deliberated for about a day before determining Cameron Thor (dob 3/17/60) was guilty of one count of lewd act upon a child and the special allegation of substantial sexual contact was found to be true. Thor faces up to eight years in state prison when he is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 9.
Simone Shay of the Sex Crimes Division said the victim took private classes from Thor at his Agoura Hills home. In March 2009, Thor drove the girl, then 13, to the Santa Monica Mountains where he sexually assaulted her.
Thor was arrested last year.

LASD Special Victims Bureau Investigating Sexual Assault on a Child, Agoura Hills, CA

LOCATION: Agoura Hills, CA

SUSPECT: Cameron Thor, male White adult
UNIT: Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Victims Bureau
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Special Victims Bureau is investigating an allegation involving a Lewd Act on a Child Under 14-years of Age. On Tuesday, June 3, 2014, 54 year-old Cameron Thor was arrested for Kidnapping with the Intent to Commit Rape (section 209(b)(1) of the California Penal Code).
The victim consulted with suspect Thor about attending acting classes. After one of the consultations, suspect Thor drove her to a secluded area in Agoura Hills and sexually assaulted her. The victim was 13 years-old at the time of the sexual assault.
On Wednesday, June 4, 2014, the case was presented to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. Deputy District Attorney Simone Shay filed the following charges against the suspect:
Eleven counts of Sex Crime; Child Under Age 14 Years 288(a) of the Penal Code; one count of Kidnap; Robbery, Rape 209(b)(1) of the Penal Code; one count of Sexual Penetration 269(a)(5) of the Penal Code; and one count of Rape or Sexual Penetration 269(a)(2) of the Penal Code. The suspect was arraigned at the Van Nuys Courthouse on Thursday, June 05, 2014 and is being held in lieu of $2,600,000.00 bail.
