This past week in Zone 8 (East), the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:

The following crimes are currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station detectives:

An assault with a deadly weapon occurred outside of a business near the

18200 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country. Three males got

into a physical confrontation. During the incident, one of the suspects

brandished a knife. The three suspects were arrested for the indicated

charge.

A burglary occurred at a business near the 16600 block Soledad Canyon

Road in.Canyon Country. The suspect was observed by a loss prevention

agent selecting store items and then exiting the location without making any

attempt to pay for the merchandise. The suspect was detained and arrested

upon the arrival of deputies. 

A burglary occurred near the 16600 block of Soledad Cyn. Rd., Canyon

Country. The suspect was observed by a loss prevention agent selecting

items and then exiting the location without making any attempt to pay for the

store merchandise. When confronted, the suspect ran from the location,

dropping his cell phone in the process.  When the suspect returned to

recover his cell phone, he was detained and arrested upon the arrival of

deputies. 

A vehicle burglary occurred near the 28200 block of Sierra Hwy., Canyon

Country. Suspect(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s vehicle and stole

his stereo and navigation system (factory equipped) from the center console.

A petty theft occurred at a business near the 19300 block of Golden Valley

Rd., Canyon Country. While conducting store video surveillance of the sales

floor, the store manager observed the suspect exit the store with unpaid store

merchandise. The suspect was detained by store loss prevention and

arrested upon the arrival of deputies. 

A petty theft occurred near the 28900 block of Silver Saddle Circle, Canyon

Country. Suspect(s) unknown stole the victim’s battery from his camping

trailer.

A grand theft occurred near Jakes Way / Canyon Park Bl., Canyon

Country. Suspect(s) unknown stole items from the victim’s motorcycle parked

at the indicated location.

Please remember to never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle, close and lock your doors. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity.
