Motorcycle Crash sends one to Hospital
Sheriff Joseph M Underwood Jr is reporting that his deputies responded to a motorcycle crash in the Village of Marcellus on 8/27/15 at 12:37 am at Main St near Maple St. The deputies reported that a motorcycle driven by Ronald Mikel, 50 yrs old from Marcellus, was driving East bound on Main St. He got distracted while driving and swerved to the right hitting a parked vehicle. Ronald Mikel was not wearing a helmet and was thrown from the motorcycle causing injuries to his hip area. Mikel was taken to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo by Air Care. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. The deputies were assisted on scene by the Marcellus Ambulance Service, Marcellus Fire Department, Pride Care Ambulance Service, and Air Care. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
