Advisory

The Borough of Mercersburg has announced that the street restoration project will begin on Wednesday, September 2 2015.

The Borough of Mercersburg has announced that the street restoration project will begin on Wednesday, September 2 2015. The order in which the streets will be paved are as follows:

Linden Avenue
West Seminary Street
East Seminary Street
South Fayette Street
East California Street

Residents are advised to find alternate parking on these streets. The Borough Public Works Department will place “No Parking” signs along the curb the day prior the paving contractors working on that particular street. Once the signs are removed, parking will be allowed back on the street.

Please keep in mind that the restoration project is a twostep process. The paving base will be installed during this time and in the near future, the wearing course (or top layer) of paving will be done.
Residents will be advised as to the timing of the next phase once it is known.

Letters will also be posted on doors advising the timing of both phases. Borough residents with any questions in reference to the project are to call Derek Stoy, Assistant Borough Manager, at 328-3116 ext. 101.
