Full Notification

The suspect who was arrested in Montecito, yesterday, August 23, in connection to a string of overnight auto burglaries and thefts from autos in the area is not who he claimed to be.  At the time of arrest, the suspect provided several false identities including ultimately the name of his deceased brother, 22-year-old Daniel Ricketts of Ventura.  During the Livescan fingerprinting process at the Santa Barbara County Jail it was discovered the suspect is actually 25-year-old Timothy Rodriguez of Ventura.  Rodriguez likely provided his family member’s information in an attempt to conceal a misdemeanor warrant out of Ventura County.  Additional charges will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office.
