Forgery
Location: 200 Block of North Winchester Boulevard
An officer was dispatched to the 200 block of north Winchester Boulevard to investigate a prescription fraud. A pharmacy employee was provided with a false prescription for Promethazine with Codeine. The format of the prescription was consistent with a prior fake prescription from the same suspect on 07/14/15. The pharmacy employee provided the officer with the prescription, driver’s license of the suspect, prescription savings card and copy of the doctor database print out.

Vandalism
Location: 1400 Block of Laurelwood Road
A reporting party called Dispatchers to report that an unknown suspect(s) vandalized the wall of the apartment complex on the 1400 block of Laurelwood Road. The billboard, also owned by the apartment complex, was vandalized as well. The unknown suspect(s) remain at large.

Location: 3400 Block of Flora Vista Avenue
An officer was dispatched to a tree branch that had fallen on two parked cars on the 3400 block of Flora Vista Avenue. The City’s tree crew was on the scene and disposing of the downed branch. A report was taken to document the incident.

Trespassing
Location: 2700 Block of Homestead Road
An officer responded to an incident on the 2700 block of Homestead Road. The reporting party informed Dispatchers that a male subject was inside the store, aggressively demanding money from customers and refused to leave. Upon police arrival, the suspect became combative. He was taken into custody and was transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

Residential Burglary
Location: 700 Block of Varsi Place
An unknown suspect(s) made entry to a residence on the 700 block of Varsi Place. The victims had their laptops stolen sometime between 0230 hours and 0730 hours. There was no sign of forced entry. The suspect(s) remain at large.

City Ordinance
Location: 3700 Block of Poinciana
A female subject was contacted regarding the report of an unlawfully operating a massage business from a residential, multi-unit apartment complex. The subject did not have a business license or other
documentation to lawfully conduct such activity. The subject was issued a misdemeanor citation.

Burglary
Location: 2200 Block of El Camino Real
While on routine patrol, an officer located a vehicle in a motel parking lot on the 2200 block of El Camino Real from a previous burglary (Case Number #15-9687). The owner of the vehicle was
registered in a room. A Records check revealed the male subject was on two active grants of probation. The rooms’ occupants did not comply with officers orders to open the door. As a result, officers forced entry into the room occupied by one male subject and one female subject. The male subject was in possession of clothing associated with the previous burglary, numerous laptops, a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, keys and “Security Officer” patches. He was placed under arrest. The female subject was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Both individuals were transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

Drug Possession
Location: Lochinvar Avenue and Waxwing Avenue
At approximately 0013 hours, a male suspect was contacted at Lochinvar Avenue and Waxwing Avenue in Sunnyvale after he was observed crossing Lawrence Expressway on foot against a red light. A
vehicle traveling southbound on Lawrence Expressway honked at the pedestrian after nearly colliding with him. Upon contact, the suspect displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication. It was
determined he was unable to care for himself. A search of his person yielded a vehicle title and checkbook that did not belong to the suspect as well as a significant volume of loose change and a controlled substance. An officer contacted the owner of the vehicle title and checkbook. The victim’s vehicle had been accessed and the door and trunk were left open. The victim stated the doors were locked prior to this incident and the items in the suspect’s possession were removed from the vehicle.

Petty Theft
Location: 2700 Block of Lafayette Street
An officer was dispatched to a theft in progress on the 2700 block of Lafayette Street. Two male suspects stole items, valued at $174, from the exterior of the business and placed them into the suspect’s vehicle. The reporting party blocked the suspects in with his vehicle, so they fled on foot. Officers located one of the male suspects behind a nearby business. A Records check revealed he had a felony warrant from the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s office. He was in possession of burglary tools, a concealed fixed blade knife, a lighter and a stolen check. Several hours later, an officer saw the second suspect coming out of the bushes. This suspect was arrested for theft and conspiracy. Both suspects were transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.
