2 women arrested after APD PACE officers serve narcotic search warrant.
On Wednesday August 19th APD Pace officers served a narcotics search warrant at 1607 N Garfield. Arriving at the residence at approximately 5:35pm and upon checking the area, Pace officers observed the homeowner driving away in a blue Cadillac. Officers followed the Cadillac and observed a traffic violation then conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of N Mirror. The driver is identified as Jennifer Rae Cazarez H/F 33 and the passenger is identified as Destany Michele Urias H/F 30, both of Amarillo. After contacting the occupants, it was found that both the driver and passenger each had 2 local municipal court warrants.
Both individuals were returned back to the residence where other officers had maintained security of the residence not allowing anyone else to enter or leave. At 6:27pm, Pace officers conducted a search of the residence. Officers recovered approximately 68 grams of methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana.
Cazarez was transported and booked into the Potter County Correction Center on a charge of Man/Del of a Controlled Substance more than 4 grams less than 200; Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces; Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia and the 2 local municipal court warrants.
Urias was transported and booked into the Randall County Jail on the 2 local municipal court warrants.
