During the early morning hours of August 10, 2015, a male subject entered the Wash Spot Laundromat on Riverside Ave. and used a crowbar to pry at various doors and machines that contained coins and currency in an attempt to steal money. The value of the damage caused by the vandalism/attempted larceny was between $4,000 and $5,000 dollars. The suspect was captured on surveillance video and later identified as Richard Miller (age 58 of Colchester). On the morning of August 20, 2015, Miller was arrested for felony Unlawful Mischief and arraigned at the Chittenden Superior Court – Criminal Division. He was subsequently detained for lack of bail.
