INCIDENT: Possession of Controlled Substance For Sales.

LOCATION: Holiday Inn Express, 25222 Redlands Blvd. Loma Linda

SUSPECT: Anthony Soto, 34, resident of Loma Linda

VICTIM: People of the state of Califorina


SUMMARY:
On Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 1:59 a.m. Deputy Tabor from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Central Station (Loma Linda Police) , conducted a traffic stop of a Chevy Tahoe for a lighting equipment violation and expired registration. The vehicle pulled into the driveway leading into the Holiday Inn Express. The license plate attached to the vehicle, was found to belong to a Toyota registered out of Loma Linda. The driver of the Chevy was found to be Anthony Soto, a 34 year old resident of Loma Linda. Soto is on active Parole for weapons violations. Deputy Rusk was able to contact the victim of the stolen license plate. The victim did not know Soto and did not give him permission to be in possession of the license plate.

Deputy Tabor conducted a Parole search of the room Soto rented and located approximately seven grams of suspected methamphetamine, small clear plastic baggies, U.S. currency in small denominations and a functional scale. All these items are consistent with possession of methamphetamine for sales. Soto was arrested and booked into Central Detention Center for Possession of Methamphetamine For Sales, Possession of Stolen Property and a Parole Violation.
