On Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at approximately 7:52 p.m. Compton Station deputies responded to an “assault with a deadly weapon” call.  When the deputies arrived, they were told the victim and the suspect were involved in a verbal altercation, which escalated to a physical altercation leading to the suspect stabbing the victim multiple times in the upper torso.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim is a 61year-old man.  The name of the victim is not being released at this time, pending next of kin notification.

The suspect, 53-year-old Ramona Annis, was arrested and booked at Carson Sheriff’s Station for murder and is being held in lieu of $1,000,000.

The investigation is still on-going, and no further information is available at this time.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are en route to the 14500 block of Harris Avenue, Compton, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a male adult.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
