Press Release: Apartment Burglary Alert

NARRATIVE
On 8/17/15, The Township of Ocean Police Department investigated two apartment burglaries and two attempted burglaries on Rustic Drive in the Middlebrook Apartment Complex. An investigation revealed that the incidents occurred between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm. The unidentified suspects forcibly entered the unoccupied apartments and removed jewelry, clothing and electronic items.
The Township of Ocean Police Department is offering the following burglary prevention tips to keep from being a victim.
1. Secure all windows and doors when not at home.
2. Light up your home, use timer switches when out.
3. Store keys safely and away from windows and doors.
4. Record details of valuables and don’t keep large amounts of cash at home.
5. Use your alarm, even when at home.
