Update: Individuals Seen Soliciting for AT&T Confirmed as Legitimate

(August 17, 2015-Fairview, Texas) The Fairview Police Department can now confirm that the two men seen soliciting in Sloan Creek Estates and The Vineyard on Thursday, July 30, 2015, are in fact contract employees of AT&T.

An AT&T representative, Wendy Humphrey, confirmed that the men are contractors following up on leads with current non-AT&T customers. Ms. Humphrey is the point of contact regarding any issues related to these contractors conduct, she may be contacted at 214-478-7091 or [email protected].

While these men were found to be legitimate, other similar incidences with fake solicitors in many cities across the country have not. The Fairview Police Department asks that Fairview residents and businesses continue to stay vigilant and report similar suspicious activity to the Fairview Police.

All solicitors in Fairview are required to obtain and display a photo ID permit issued by the Town. If a citizen is approached by a solicitor without a permit, they should call the Fairview Police.
