Advisory

Madison Ave by Morristown Hospital is reduced to two lanes for emergency sewer repair. Expect delays.

The Morristown Bureau of Police advises that emergency sewer repairs are being conducted on Madison Avenue in front of the Morristown Medical Center. As a result, traffic is being pushed to the two curb lanes and the two center lanes are being closed. We anticipate that the repairs will limit access to the main entrance of the Medical Center and motorists may be delayed.

Detours are being put into effect and police will be on scene to assist with traffic however, motorists are encouraged to avoid the area or plan alternate routes when possible.

DETOUR INFORMATION FOR ACCESS AND EGRESS FROM THE MEDICAL CENTER:

Traffic heading eastbound on Madison Avenue will follow detour signs past the front of the hospital, turn left onto Franklin Street and access the complex through the Franklin Street entrances.

Traffic that wishes to head east on Madison Avenue when exiting the complex will be detoured to the Franklin Street exits and should follow detour signs back to Madison Avenue.

At this point, there is no time frame on the estimate completion of this emergency work. Crews are on the scene now and updates will be provided when available.
