SUNNYVALE, Calif. - On 8-13-2015 at approximately 1249 hours officers responded to 1225 Vienna Drive Space 292 on report of a possible homicide. Officers arrived on scene and detained a female suspect at the residence. Upon searching the residence officers located the deceased victim inside with apparent blunt force injuries from a hammer located at the scene. The suspect has been identified as Linde Adrienne Smith (50 years old) who lives at the residence. The suspect's mother, Anne Frances Smith (81 years old), has been identified as the victim who also resides at the location.
Detectives have learned there was an argument that occurred which may have led to the incident. Detectives are continuing their investigation into the case and determine all of the facts surrounding the circumstances of what happened. No further details regarding the circumstances or the cause of the injuries are available at this time. The suspect has been arrested and will be booked into Santa Clara County Jail on the charge of homicide.
