Car FOUND in the Antelope Valley belongs to MISSING person Nikolaos Christidis from Oceanside, San Diego County

A Lancaster Sheriff’s Station deputy on patrol saw an abandoned car in the area of 155th Street East and Avenue H-6, in a desert area of Lake Los Angeles at about 10:00AM on Wednesday, August 12, 2015.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy found the abandoned car locked and stuck in the soft sand in an area not visible from the road. The area is dirt roads and there are many sand dunes. Lancaster Sheriff’s Station patrol deputies began a ground search of the immediate area for Mr. Christidis, and a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department helicopter flew an aerial search in an effort to locate him. No sign of Mr. Christidis, who reportedly suffers from Dementia, was found.

In addition to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s patrol deputies and a sheriff’s helicopter, the LA Sheriff’s Antelope Valley Search and Rescue Team was activated and the team is assisting in the search on foot and with off road vehicles.
