Man injured Wednesday morning in gang members-involved shooting near Soap Lake
SOAP LAKE, Wash. (12AUG2015) – A 29-year-old Soap Lake man is hospitalized today after being shot early Wednesday morning in the Lakeview community just outside Soap Lake.
Daniel J. Pulliam called 9-1-1 around 4:15 a.m. telling dispatchers he had been shot. Emergency responders found Pulliam near Franklin Street and State Route 28. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to the thigh. He was initially taken by ambulance to Columbia Basin Hospital in Ephrata, and later taken to Confluence Health-Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. His current condition is unknown.
Around 6:15 a.m., sheriff’s deputies, Ephrata police officers and Washington state troopers surrounded a home nearby and used a loudspeaker to order people inside the home to come out. Four people came out without incident and were detained for questioning. As of yet, nobody has been arrested for the shooting. Deputies believe gang members were involved in the shooting.
Investigators are processing a large crime scene. More information will be sent when available.
