Commercial Burglary
Location: 400 Block of N. Winchester Boulevard
At approximately 0431 hours, a commercial burglary occurred on the 400 block of N. Winchester Boulevard. The solo male suspect gained access to the building by breaking the front glass door. Once inside, the suspect stole money from the cash register. The suspect was observed committing the burglary on video surveillance and remains at large.

Driving Under the Influence
Location: Harrison Street and Monroe Street
Officers were dispatched to a hit and run collision in the area of Harrison Street and Monroe Street. A female suspect struck another vehicle driving on the road and fled the scene in her car. The victim called Dispatchers and followed the suspect. An officer contacted the suspect at Anna Drive and Rosalie Drive. The suspect displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication and did not satisfactorily perform the field sobriety tests. She was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

NOTE: The City of Santa Clara Water and Sewer Department has experienced sixteen (16) thefts of water meter and/or back-flow regulators for their scrap metal. The unknown suspect(s) remove the cover, shut off the water valve and use a pipe cutter to cut off the water meters. It is estimated the City of Santa Clara is the victim of over $40,000 in loss as a result of these thefts.
The City of Santa Clara is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s). If you observe anyone tampering with a water meter or back-flow valve, please call 9-1-1- immediately.

Grant Theft
Location: 3700 Block of El Camino Real
Between 1100 hours and 1600 hours, an unknown suspect(s) used force to damage the lock a victim used to secure a bicycle on a bicycle rack on the 3700 block of El Camino Real. The bicycle was stolen and the suspect(s) remain at large.

Driving Under the Influence
Location: 1700 Block of Washington Street
Officers were dispatched to the area of Washington Street and Reeve Street on a report of a vehicle collision. A vehicle was seen leaving the scene after striking a parked van. A witness followed the vehicle while communicating with Dispatchers.
Officers initiated a traffic enforcement stop at Jackson Street and Main Street. The female suspect exited the vehicle and complained of pain. The Santa Clara Fire Department responded to the scene. The suspect displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication. The officer led the suspect through the standardized field sobriety tests and took her into custody for driving under the influence.

Felony Warrant Arrest
Location: 4700 Block of Great America Parkway
An officer was dispatched to California’s Great America theme park to investigate the theft of a purse from inside a theatre. While obtaining the victim’s statement, the officer was informed that a male subject was loitering near the victim’s vehicle attempting to activate a key fob. When the subject was approached by the officer, he fled. The officer apprehended the subject. A Records check revealed the subject had a $100,000 felony warrant. He was arrested and transported to Santa Clara County Jail.

Location: 2800 Block of Forbes Avenue
Between 1000 hours and 1830 hours, a residential burglary occurred on the 2800 block of Forbes Avenue. An unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole items from the home. The suspect(s) remain at large.

Grand Theft
Location: 3100 Block of Mission College Boulevard
On 08/06/15, at approximately 2200 hours, the victim parked and locked a vehicle on the 3100 block of Mission College Boulevard. The victim returned to the vehicle at approximately 0053 hours on 08/07/15 to find the right front passenger window broken. A camera and lenses were stolen from the vehicle. The unknown suspect(s) remain at large.

NOTE: The Santa Clara Police Department conducted a Driving Under the Influence and Driver’s License Checkpoint from 9:00pm-2:00am on Stevens Creek Boulevard at Buckingham Drive. Two individuals were arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Driving Under the Influence
Location: Arguello Place and Los Padres Boulevard
An officer responded to the intersection of Arguello Place and Los Padres Boulevard on a report of a hit and run collision. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the juvenile male subject. The subject had crashed into two parked vehicles and then struck a tree. The officer observed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication. The subject was led through standardized field sobriety tests. The subject was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.
