The advisory below applies to a portion of residents in District 5 only.

Due to an accident on Highway 18 and the replacement of a fire hydrant, St. James Parish Government as a precaution is issuing a boil water advisory for west bank residents along Highway 18 starting at Waguespack Welding and Manufacturing (4635 Highway 18) and ending near the Lemonville community. The boil water advisory will remain in effect until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11th.

A boil water advisory means that affected residents should boil their water before bathing, drinking, brushing their teeth, or consuming the water in any way. The line should be repaired by 7 p.m. tonight. We ask for patience and understanding while the broken line is repaired.
