Police radio communications from the officer-involved shooting from August 7, 2015 have been released. You may click the link below to view. This was done to correct gross misinformation that some were putting out on social media. We were made aware of a YouTube video making a false claim that Mr. Christian Taylor was shot by police in less than one second after officers made contact with him. The audio which that person relied upon and published was not official audio provided by the department and has large segments of time removed.

We understand that in this day of advanced technology and the proliferation of social media, erroneous information can spread quickly and may be viewed as accurate and official; however, we urge the media and community partners to rely upon official information provided by APD as it pertains to this investigation.
