Today at approximately 1600 hours, the Clayton County Police Department located a stolen vehicle with two occupants and attempted to stop it. The vehicle fled a short distance before colliding with a telephone pole. The two occupants male and female then fled on foot into a wooded area at Valley Hill Road and Mockingbird Trail. The Clayton County Police along with Sheriff's Office personnel contained the area and conducted a search for the two individuals. The female driver named Passion Miranda was found hiding just inside the wood line behind a residence on Mockingbird Trail. The male occupant Jesse Colon was observed coming out of the wood line further down Valley Hill Road by two Clayton County Swat Members who were returning back to headquarters from a Community Event where they were displaying a tactical vehicle (Peace Keeper) and apprehended the subject.
Passion Miranda was charged with Theft by Receiving, Obstruction of Law Enforcement, Reckless Driving, Striking a Fixed Object, Leaving the Scene of Accident, Failure to Yield Emergency Vehicle and Driving with Suspended License. Jesse Colon was charged with Theft by Receiving and Obstruction of Law Enforcement.
Jesse Colon is wanted out of Albany New York for Dangerous Drugs/Sell Distribute, New York City for Homicide-Murder 2 and U.S. Marshals in Arlington Virginia for Dangerous Drugs. Sheriff Victor Hill would like to commend the Clayton County Police Department along with the assisting Clayton County Sheriff's Office for their diligence and interagency cooperation in taking individuals like this off the streets of Clayton County.
