Suspect flees vehicle accident towards courthouse and is subsequently arrested by deputies.

On 8/5/2015 at approximately 10:25 am, Deputies from the Sonoma County Hall of Justice responded to a vehicle crash that happened on Highway 101 near the courthouse. Witnesses told deputies who were on scene that a female fled the scene of the accident on foot. She was seen jumping a fence and running toward the courthouse.

A deputy pursued the female on foot until he ultimately caught her near Paulin Drive. The female was identified as Chelsey Westover, 24 years old who is originally from Utah but currently living in Vallejo, Ca. A records check on Chelsey revealed that she had an outstanding, no bail, drug arrest warrant out of the State of Utah.

Westover was arrested on the outstanding warrant. A subsequent search of her person by a female deputy revealed approximately 3/4 of an ounce of suspected methamphetamine found in her underwear. Westover was subsequently booked into the Sonoma County Jail
for the outstanding warrant, possession of methamphetamine and evading arrest.
