OSBI Agents Identify Bristow Wal-Mart Larceny Suspect, File Charges
Today, the OSBI is filing felony charges against two more people involved in the Bristow Wal- Mart heist. July 4, 2015, a man dressed in a black polo shirt, a black vest, and a black baseball hat walked inside the Bristow Wal-Mart and was met by the assistant manager. She took him to the cash office where he signed the Loomis account book and received the Wal-Mart deposit of more than $70,000. The man left the store in a black Chevrolet sedan. Shortly after, the real Loomis truck driver arrived. July 6, 2015, the Bristow Police Department requested OSBI assistance with the grand larceny. During the course of the investigation, agents determined the store manager on duty at the time of the robbery, Rico Robertson, had devised the plan. His step-daughter, Mariah Bustamonte, aided in the execution of the theft by driving the male suspect to the store and driving him from the store after the larceny. Robertson and Bustamonte were arrested last month. After several weeks of intense investigation, OSBI agents with the help of a Creek County District Attorney investigator have identified the suspect as Bryan Jervante Johnson (d.o.b. 7/13/1993) from Bakersville, California. According to Bustamonte, Johnson is a distant relative of Rico Robertson. Johnson is also wanted in California for several robberies and a shooting. Agents also determined Rico Robertson’s wife Monica was told about the theft prior to its execution and helped destroy evidence after the fact. Both Johnson and Monica Robertson face one count of conspiracy to commit a felony. Robertson is believed to live in Okmulgee. Johnson’s location is unknown. Investigators did determine Rico Robertson dropped off Johnson at the bus station in Tulsa after the crime. A current mug shot of Johnson is attached to this press release. If anyone has knowledge of where he may be located, contact the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017. The Bristow Police Department and the District 24 Task Force aided in the investigation.
