Crime Survivors Awards Recipients Show they Believe All Victims of Crime have the Right & Responsibility to Survive
Public safety personnel and Victim Service Providers were recognized at the 12th Annual Crime Survivors Gratitude Gala Hopeful Healing for Survivors Awards Banquet. The event was sold out with barely 500 attendees at the Anaheim Marriott on July 31, 2015.
The award recipients rescued children and women from physical, emotional and sexual abuse, arrested or helped incarcerate cruel human traffickers, taught self-defense classes to vulnerable people, and coordinated help and resources for countless victims who are now survivors of crime.
Crime Survivors Founder and CEO Patricia Wenskunas was joined by numerous survivors of crime; Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey; San Bernardino County District Attorney Michael Ramos; Orange County Board of Supervisors Chairman and 3rd District Supervisor Todd Spitzer; and Orange County Bureau Chief Eileen Frere, ABC7 Eyewitness News. Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnelll was the keynote speaker.
