Advisory

Brat Trot, Brat Day Parade and Gus Macker Traffic Route

On Saturday, August 1, 2015, The 2015 Brat Trot will be held starting at 8:00 AM.  The participants will be running and walking in a 4 mile and a 2 mile event on an open course road starting and finishing at Kiwanis Park.

This will be followed by the 2015 Brat Day Parade.  The parade will start at 9:00 AM at the intersection of N. 8 Street and Center Avenue.  The parade will proceed north on N. 8 Street to Michigan Avenue, turn east onto Michigan Avenue, to N. 3 Street and then south on N. 3 Street through the traffic safety zone on Broughton Drive where  they will disperse.  The parade route and assembly area will be closed to traffic until the conclusion of the parade.  Those who wish to "hold their spots for watching the parade" may do so only after 5:00 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2015.  This helps to prevent disagreements and vandalism to individual property.

The 2015 Gus Macker Basketball Tournament will also be in progress this weekend on the lakefront.  With the construction on Pennsylvania Avenue, parking and traffic will be congested.  For those who will be participating in or watching the tournaments during the time of the parade, refer to the attached maps or visit "Sheboygan Police Department's website", "Latest News," for traffic detours around the Pennsylvania Avenue construction.
