Members of the Oklahoma Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested a Norman man earlier this week on several complaints involving child pornography. Last month an agent with the Attorney General’s Office, who is a task force member, searched peer-to-peer file sharing networks looking for files that included known images of child pornography. The agent found an IP address sharing more than 250 files with 104 of those files flagged as “files of interest” in other child pornography investigations. Investigators determined the IP address belonged to a person in Norman. Wednesday, members of the ICAC Task Force served a search warrant at 7500 Pleasant Valley Drive, Norman. Inside the home was James Russell Clark. Agents searched Clark’s home and found several computer-related devices, illicit drugs, and nearly $8,000 in cash. A preview of the computer-related items at the scene determined a laptop computer in Clark’s master bedroom was actively sharing child pornography depicting pre-pubescent female children engaging in sex acts or nude with lewd display of their genitals. Agents arrested Clark (d.o.b. 11/10/1985). He was booked into the Cleveland County jail for distribution of child pornography, aggravated possession of child pornography (possession of 100 or more images), violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of CDS, possession of drug proceeds, maintaining a dwelling, and use of surveillance equipment to facilitate a felony.
