SUMMARY:

On Thursday July 30, 2015 at approximately 10:55 am, Redwood City Police officers responded to a report of a residential burglary in the Unit Block of Yarnall Place. During a canvass of the neighborhood for possible witnesses, a neighbor said they saw a suspicious small red vehicle in the area before the burglary.

San Mateo County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an interrupted residential burglary on July 30, 2015 in the 700 Block of 7th Avenue, in unincorporated Redwood City. The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Deputies learned a small red Acura Integra was involved in that burglary. The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office put out a “Be-On-The-Lookout” broadcast with the information they received about the red Acura Integra.

An East Palo Alto Police Officer patrolling the 1700 Block of E. Bayshore in East Palo Alto located the red Acura with three people inside of it and notified the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office and the Redwood City Police Department.

Redwood City Police Officers and Detectives as well as San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to East Palo Alto. Officers located property taken in the Redwood City burglary in the suspects' vehicle. The three females inside of the vehicle were arrested by Redwood City detectives.

The two adult suspects were determined to be involved in both the residential burglary in Redwood City and the attempted residential burglary in unincorporated Redwood City. The adults were booked into the San Mateo County Jail for residential burglary.

A juvenile that was in the vehicle was determined not to be involved in the Redwood City residential burglary and was released to her parents.

These is an excellent example of how local law enforcement agencies work together and share information. If you have any information regarding these suspects or this residential burglary contact Detective Glenn Albin at 650-780-7141.
