OSBI Agents Investigate Blaine Co. Burglary and Blaze
June 2, 2015, a fire was reported at a barn approximately five miles from Watonga. The large structure also had living quarters inside. When the fire was extinguished, investigators discovered a multitude of items missing including dozens of guns, ammunition, a 2011 825i John Deere Gator ATV, televisions, compound bows, crossbows, a rangefinder, and rifle scopes.
Investigators believe the fire was intentionally set by the person or persons who burglarized the structure. June 11, 2015, the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance in investigating the burglary and arson. OSBI agents are also working with agents from the state Fire Marshal’s Office. The property owner is offering up to a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) who committed this crime.
