On July 28th, 2015 at about 7:40 am Kern County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched with medical aid to a deceased female floating in Remington Hot Springs, located on Kern River Canyon Rd. in the Kern Canyon.
Deputies responded and located an obviously deceased female in the hot springs. Due to possible suspicious circumstances, homicide detectives responded to the scene and initiated an investigation. Kern County Fire Department helicopter 408 was called out to assist with the recovery of the decedent’s body due to the remoteness of the hot springs.
The decedents’ cause of death and her identification are pending an autopsy tentatively scheduled later this week.
