Incidents 417 Reports 55

#012 Robbery Arrest

At 8:22am, Officers Navas and Ehling were on patrol in the area of Bay/Grimmer when they were waved down by a victim of an armed robbery that occurred early in the morning. The loss included a cell phone.  During the investigation, the phone is returned to a family member of the victim.  A suspect is identified and surrenders outside his home. A male (22 years old/Fremont) is arrested for robbery.  A replica handgun is recovered.

#017 Residential Burglary

Between 8:25 am and 9:30am, unknown suspect(s) entered a residence in the 43400 block of Vista Del Mar by smashing a rear double pane sliding glass door.  The loss was jewelry, electronics and cash.

#021 Possession of a Controlled Substance Arrest

At 11:12am, Officers Rodarte and Little conducted a vehicle stop near Fremont/Peralta and contacted the male driver.  The male (34 years old/Newark) was arrested for possession of suspected methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

023: Residential Burglary

Between 07/11/15 and 07/24/15, an unknown suspect(s) entered a residence in the 40800 block of Capa by cutting a rear padlock.  The loss was generators and bathroom fixtures.

#049 Possession of Dirk/Dagger Arrest

At 5:41pm, officers were dispatched to the 39100 block of Liberty in regards to a suspicious male who was banging on business doors.  Officers arrived and contacted a male (26 years old/Union City).  The male was arrested for being in possession of a dirk/dagger.

#057 Armed Robbery

At 7:50pm, officers were dispatched to the 99 Cent Store on Fremont in regards to an armed robbery that just occurred.  A male walked into the store, pointed a gun at employees and demanded money.  The male robs the business cash and flees out the front door towards Blacow.  The male was described as a white male, 30 years old, 180-200 pounds, wearing  a blue and white checkered flannel shirt over a white tee-shirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a dark colored baseball hat with either an A’s or Dodgers insignia on it. He also might have had a tattoo on his neck.

#002 Driving Under the Influence Arrest

At 1:33am, Officer Bordy conducted a vehicle stop near Fremont/Thornton and contacted the male driver.  The male (31 years old/Fremont) was arrested for driving under the influence.

#003 Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest

At 1:55am, officers were dispatched to a fight a Coaches.  The reporting party advised there were three people and another 30 people watching.  Officers arrived on scene and located two suspects walking in the area.  One female (22 years old/Oakland) was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.  A second female (24 years old/Fremont) was arrested for resisting arrest.

#009 Residential Burglary

Between 07/20/15 and 07/25/15, an unknown suspect(s) entered the residence in the 39700 block of Blacow by forcing the side garage door opened.  The loss was unknown at the time of this report.

#012 Evading Arrest / Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales Arrest  

At 10:09am, officers responded to the area of Driscoll/Paseo Padre for a hit and run.  Officers located the vehicle and it fled the area.  The license plate had the last number on the plate taped over.  Officers attempted to catch up to the vehicle to verify the plate and it was involved in another minor collision with an AC transit bus (no injuries) and continued.  Officers initiated a pursuit which lasted a little over a minute due to the driver fleeing at a high rate of speed on the shoulder of the freeway and getting away.  A short time later, the vehicle was later located in a shopping center parking lot (46000 block of Warm Springs BL) by Officer Meredith.  The driver was already out of the car with the female.  The male driver (32 years old/San Jose) fled on foot.  He was caught by Sgt. Crandall.  The male was arrested for a felony warrant, drug possession and sales, possession of burglary tools and evading arrest.  The female passenger (23 years old/San Jose) was arrested for being under the influence of a stimulant. 

#021 Petty Theft Arrest

At 3:21pm, officers were dispatched to Whole Foods in regards to a female that was detained for stealing.  Officers arrived and contacted the female (26 years old/Milpitas) who was arrested for petty theft.

#029 Petty Theft

At 9:30pm, Officer Piol was dispatched to Target (HUB) in regards to a petty theft.  Officer Piol arrived and contacted two females.  The females (21 and 22 years old/Fremont) were both arrested for petty theft.

#030 Driving Under the Influence

At 10:22pm, officers were dispatched to the area of Gregory/Paseo Padre in regards to a vehicle that struck a tree.  Officer arrived on scene and contacted the male driver.  The male (29 years old) was arrested for driving under the influence.

#007 Commercial Burglary

Around 6:05am, unknown suspect(s) entered a business in the 39400 block of Fremont by smashing the front glass window.  The loss was designer eye wear.

#009 Commercial Burglary

Between 6:30pm on 07/25/2015 and 8:50am on 07/26/2015, unknown suspect(s) entered a business in the 42600 block of Albrae by prying open a single swing metal door.  The loss was cash and electronics.

#011 Under the Influence Arrest

At 10:00am, Officer Gourley was dispatched to Centerville Community Park in regards to a male who was acting suspicious and was swinging a 5 foot long stick with a metal end.  Officer Gourley arrived and contacted a male.  The male (36 years old/Oakland) was arrested for being under the influence. 

#023 Residential Burglary

Between 12:45pm and 4:30pm, unknown suspect(s) entered a residence in the 48000 block of Sawleaf through an unlocked rear sliding door.  The loss was jewelry.

#001 Driving Under the Influence

At 11:53pm, Officer Piol conducted a vehicle stop near 680/Mission and contacted the male driver.  The male (42 years old/San Jose) was arrested for driving under the influence.
