7/15/15

1032 Hours: Officer Katz came across some large unexploded fireworks at the intersection of Magnolia St. and Graham Ave. The Alameda County Bomb Squad was notified and responded.

1053 Hours: Officer Stone investigated a commercial burglary at Chef Wu Chinese restaurant, 36926 Sycamore St. Entry was made via window smash.

1257 Hours: While checking on a suspicious vehicle on Central Ave, Officer Bloom arrested a 37-year-old male from Union City for possession of a controlled substance.

1411 Hours: Officer Taylor took custody of two juveniles after they had shoplifted from JC Penney. Both juveniles were released to their parents.

1449 Hours: During a pedestrian stop, Officer Kovach arrested a 38-year-old female from Newark for a warrant.

1554 Hours: During a pedestrian stop, Officer Fredstrom arrested a 41-year-old male from Redwood City for five warrants.

0009 Hours: Officer Slater arrested a 47-year-old male from Stockton at the corner of Thornton Ave/Cedar Bl for obstruction/delaying/resisting.

1213 Hours: Officer Bloom investigated an auto burglary on Magnolia St. The crime occurred between 07/11/15 and time of call.

1322 Hours: Officer Todd investigated the theft from a vehicle on Woodruff Dr. The theft occurred between 2100 and 0700 hours.

1626 Hours: Officer Bloom investigated a disturbance at the business Bubbles, 35201 Newark Blvd. Officer Bloom arrested a 42-year-old male from Newark for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

1751 Hours: Officers responded to a disturbance at the Chevron gas station on Jarvis Ave. A 37-year-old male from Newark was arrested for violating a restraining order.

1906 Hours: During a warrant service on Albyn Ct, Officer Horst and Sergeant Eriksen arrested a 36-year-old male from Newark.


7/18/15

0054 Hours: During a pedestrian stop on Elmwood Ave, Officer Khairy arrested a 31-year-old male from Newark for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

0132 Hours: Officer Rodgers and Officer Arroyo conducted a traffic stop on two vehicles having a rolling verbal altercation on Robertson Ave. A 25-year-old female was arrested for a warrant.

0132 Hours: Officer Simon responded to Ponderosa Ct on a report of a disturbance. A 22-year-old male from Hayward was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

1045 Hours: Officers responded to Elm St on a report of domestic violence. A 33-year-old male from Newark was arrested for domestic battery.

1543 Hours: During a pedestrian stop on Thornton Ave, Officer Musantry arrested a 41-year-old male from Newark for warrants.

1610 Hours: Officer Neithercutt investigated a vehicle burglary at Newpark Mall.

1646 Hours: Officer Losier investigated a residential burglary on Mulberry St. The suspect forced entry through a rear window.

2049 Hours: CSO Parks investigated a window smash auto burglary that occurred on Cedar Blvd.

7/20/15

1337 Hours: Officer Neithercutt responded to Macy’s for a shoplifter in custody. A 24-year-old male from Newark was arrested for shoplifting and possession of burglary tools.


7/21/15

0144 Hours: During a traffic stop in the Safeway parking lot, Officer Johnson arrested a 39-year-old male from Newark for possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license.

1003 Hours: During a pedestrian stop on Sycamore St, Detective Ramos arrested a 33-year-old male from Hayward for a warrant. During the same incident, Detective Ramos arrested another 33-year-old male from Hayward for a warrant in the NPD lobby.

1418 Hours: Officer Hogan investigated a residential burglary on Saint Mark Ave. SET Detectives Heckman and Warren later arrested a 34-year-old female from Tracy for the burglary.


7/22/15

0604 Hours: Officer Stone investigated an auto burglary on Buena Vista. Entry was via a window smash.

0709 Hours: Officer Katz investigated an auto burglary on Joaquin Murieta Ave. Entry was via a window smash.

1804 Hours: During a pedestrian stop, Officer Todd arrested a 37-year-old male from Newark for a warrant and resisting arrest.
