Sections of SR1 and SR32 Still Closed in Randolph County
Randolph County – The Indiana Department of Transportation, (INDOT) along with the Indiana State Police would like to remind motorists that sections of SR32 and SR1 are still closed in Randolph County due to summer construction projects. Motorists are urged to use the detour routes posted for these closures.
SR 32 is closed between Winchester and Farmland with a detour route of US 27 to SR 28 west to SR1 south to SR32 at Farmland. This closure is expected to last into mid-August.
SR1 remains closed between US36 at Modoc to Farmland for major road bed repair and repaving. This is an extensive project that could last an extended time. The approved detour for this project is the same as for the SR32 closure.
Motorists are reminded that it is against the law to disregard and drive around road closure signs. For information about road closures and construction zones throughout Indiana, motorists may visit the INDOT website at www.TrafficWise.IN.gov or by calling 1-800-261-ROAD (7623). Updated travel information is also posted on Facebook at Indiana Department of Transportation: East Central and on Twitter @INDOT_ECentral .
