Two massage parlors were issued citations for operating a business without a license

INCIDENT: Municipal Code Violation 5.04.030 Operating a Business without a License
LOCATION: Orchid Massage, 9000 Foothill Boulevard #104, Rancho Cucamonga
5 Star Massage, 6652 Carnelian Street, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT: Xin Liu, 49 year old female from Montclair
Chun Ye, 36 year old female from Rancho Cucamonga
Yuan Shao. 47 year old female from El Monte
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, July 21, 2015, Deputy Petersen received information from the City of Rancho Cucamonga Business Licensing Department that the above businesses were conducting business without a business license and a conditional use permit.
Deputy Chuck Petersen and Deputy Dan Shelton made contact at both locations and were able to confirm both business were seeing customers and completing business transactions even though neither establishment was properly licensed by the City. Rancho Cucamonga Fire and City Business Licensing staff inspected both locations and citations were issued to the owners.
The City of Rancho Cucamonga does allow legitimate massage parlors to conduct business within the City limits. As with any other business, these establishments must have proper licensing and inspections completed prior to the business opening to the public.
