Loma Linda Deputies return stolen mail to residents following the arrest of a San Bernardino man

INCIDENT: Theft of Mail/Possession of Stolen Property
LOCATION: Redlands Blvd/Anderson St. in the city of Loma Linda
SUSPECT(S): Robert Bermudez, age 33, of San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): Confidental
SUMMARY: On July 22, 2015, at approximately 11:55 p.m., Deputy Tabor from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Central Station (Loma Linda Police) contacted Robert Bermudez standing in front of a closed business in the city of Loma Linda. Bermudez was found to be on active felony probation out of San Bernardino County for forgery. During a probation check of Bermudez' property, he was found to be in possession of over 20 envelopes of mail not addressed to him. The addresses were all out of Loma Linda, in the area of the listed address. Deputies located several open mail boxes in the area. Deputies were able to locate multiple victims and return their mail. The victims did not know Bermudez and he did not have permission to be in possession of their mail. Bermudez was booked into Central Detetion Center for theft of mail, possession of stolen property and violation of probation.
