INCIDENT: Trailing Bloodhound assigned to the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station
SUMMARY:
Sheriff John McMahon and the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station will be having a Swearing-In Ceremony for their new bloodhound Ellie at Maverick’s Stadium on August 14th. Ellie, a bloodhound trained for trailing, and her handler, Deputy David Moyer, will be stationed at the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station effective August 8, 2015, and will serve the entire Victor Valley.
Ellie was obtained by the Sheriff’s Department a few months ago and is currently training with her handler. The Victor Valley Station is excited to welcome Deputy Moyer and Ellie. The trailing services which will be provided by their team will enhance the resources already available to the citizens of the High Desert. Trailing Bloodhounds can be utilized to assist in locating suspects as well as missing persons. They can be instrumental in emergency situations.
Sheriff McMahon and the personnel at the Victor Valley Station would like to extend an invitation to residents of all communities in the High Desert to attend the Swearing-In Ceremony.
