Update to Arrest of Robert George Roe, Jr. for Intent to Commit Sex Offense with a Minor.

On March 4, 2015, Robert George Roe, Jr, DOB 9/28/59, a transient, was arrested for intent to commit a sex offense with a minor after the San Luis Obispo Police Department received a tip from a citizen who reported a disturbing photograph and message found on Craigslist. The picture depicted a self-photograph of a man’s genitalia, with the explicit message soliciting “young girls” for sexual acts.

Recently, Crime Stoppers and members of the San Luis Obispo Police Department met with the tipster and provided a cash reward for the information that was provided and led to the arrest of Robert Roe, Jr.

San Luis Obispo's Crime Stoppers is a county-wide, non-profit, community program that unites the public, the media, and law enforcement in the fight against crime. The program offers anonymity and cash rewards to citizens who furnish information leading to the arrest and conviction of felony crime offenders. Anonymity overcomes fear of involvement. Cash overcomes penalty.

If you have information about a crime, you can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 549 STOP (549-7867). You can also text your tip to Crime Stoppers by texting "SLOTIPS plus your message" to CRIMES (274637) or submit your tip through the Crime Stoppers website at SLOTIPS.ORG. If your information solves a crime, or leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect in a crime, you may be eligible to receive a reward up to $1,000.00.
