PIQUA MAN ARRESTED FOR TRAFFICKING IN HEROIN
Sheriff Solomon released details of a drug sting arrest in Minster on Wednesday afternoon. Members of the Auglaize / Mercer County Grand Lake Drug Task Force, Sheriff’s deputies, Sheriff’s detectives, Minster Police and New Bremen Police arrested Timothy A. Tron, age 41 from Piqua on Wednesday for Trafficking in Heroin after Tron transported heroin to the village of Minster in order to sell it. Approximately 1.5 grams of heroin was recovered.
The investigation into Tron was a month long investigation by the Grand Lake Drug Task Force.
Sheriff Solomon commented “This is proof that the heroin problem affects all areas of this county. It is brought here and sold to our citizens and we are doing all we can to stop it. The Drug Task Force and Deputies on patrol are constantly working the drug problem in this county.”
Tron is currently held in the Auglaize County Correctional Facility.
