Anticipated Power Outage that may affect Signal Hill

On Wednesday, July 15, 2015, the City of Long Beach experienced a major power outage.  In an effort to restore power, the City of Long Beach is working closely with Southern California Edison.  The proposed repair involves switching the electrical grid off for an unknown period of time.

 

The Signal Hill Police Department has been in contact with the Long Beach Police Department to prepare for the outage.  LBPD believes the outage will involve parts of Signal Hill; specifically areas south of E. Willow Street.  The outage is expected to occur sometime after 10am on 7/16/15 and last for an unknown duration.  The SHPD-Emergency Operations Center has been activated to monitor this incident.  Police Operations are expected to operate as normal.  Citizens/Residents can rest assured that if they are in need of emergency services, SHPD and LA County Fire will be able to respond to their needs.
