APD investigating Tuesday afternoon stabbing in east Amarillo. No arrest at this time.
On Tuesday July 14th at 4:07pm, APD officers were sent to the 4800 block of SE 25th reference a stabbing. Upon arrival officers spoke with an H/M 50 who had a small stab wound to the upper part of the chest area. The victim was being treated by medical personnel, however further medical treatment was refused by the victim. The victim stated that he was sitting in his vehicle in speaking with a female acquaintance. While sitting in his vehicle when an H/M driving a dark colored PU pulled in behind them. The H/M got out of the PU and approached the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle and there was a verbal exchange between all subjects. The victim then got out of his vehicle and approached the gentleman driving the PU when he was stabbed. The suspect got back into the PU and left the area. The victim was treated at the scene but refused further treatment. The suspect is known to the victim and the female acquaintance however he was not located during the investigation. The incident remains under investigation and charges are pending. The victim did suffer non life-threatening injuries.
