On July 14, 2015 at about 10:15 am Kern County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a report of a victim of a stabbing in the 600 block of Water St. in northeast Bakersfield.
When deputies arrived they located a 20 year old Hispanic male suffering from several stab wounds to his upper torso area. The victim was conscious and was transported by ambulance to Kern Medical Center for treatment. He sustained major injuries but his injuries are not considered life threatening.
Deputies were able to determine the victim was involved in a confrontation with the suspect and during the confrontation the suspect stabbed the victim. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20’s wearing a white t-shirt and black or grey shorts. Witnesses indicated he fled the area in a 1990’s white Ford extended cab pickup.
