Marietta Police Department’s
Citizens’ Police Academy Program
DATE: Starts Tuesday, August 4th, 2015 and is every Tuesday for 10 weeks
LOCATION: 240 Lemon Street Marietta, GA 30060
The Marietta Police Department is announcing the upcoming session of its annual Citizens Police Academy. This program provides an opportunity for the citizens of Marietta to have the chance to experience what it is like to be a police officer.
During the program, participants will get an inside look at various units within the police department and learn topics to include: Crime Analysis, Narcotics, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Crime Interdiction Unit, Investigative Services, Traffic Enforcement, Community Response Unit, Crime Scene Processing, and more.
There is no charge for the ten week program, which is scheduled to begin August 4th, 2015. Classes will be held every Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Academy is open to residents of the City of Marietta or Marietta City business or property owners pending a background check. Applications are available at the front desk of the Marietta Police Department at 240 Lemon Street or online at www.Mariettaga.gov/police.
