OSBI Receives Numerous Tips in 34-year-old Unsolved Moore Murder Case
Friday afternoon, OSBI opened a special phone bank for calls on the OSBI tip line regarding information on the Tracey Neilson case. She was murdered in her Moore apartment January 5, 1981, on her 21st birthday. During a press conference Friday, OSBI Director Stan Florence released information about Tracey’s keychain that is missing, presumed to have been taken by the killer. OSBI Forensic Artist Harvey Pratt sketched a likeness of the keychain based upon information from Tracey’s sister. At the press conference, OSBI also announced up to a $100,000 reward for information on the case that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed Tracey. Much of that money is coming from Tracey’s family. Today at noon, that phone bank, manned by OSBI agents, closed. Over the course of three days, OSBI agents received more than 20 tips on the case. The public can still call the tip line about this case or any other OSBI case, but the call will be answered by a dispatcher rather than an agent.
