Subject of Amber Alert Arrested in Indianapolis
Indianapolis, IN- A suspect that was the subject of a New Mexico Amber Alert has been arrested in Indianapolis when he arrived in the company of the 16 year old girl victim.
Earlier this evening at approximately 7:40 p.m. Indiana State Police troopers, working in conjunction with the Missouri State Police, Rio Rancho Police Department, US Marshalls Office, FBI and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, obtained information that a suspect wanted on a warrant out of New Mexico for kidnapping would possibly be arriving in Indianapolis on a bus at the Greyhound Bus station in the company of a 16 year old female.
Troopers and officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police department located the suspect, Joe D. Medina, 37, of Corrales, New Mexico, at the Greyhound Bus Station and he was taken into custody without incident. The 16 year old female was turned over to Child Protective Services.
Medina was incarcerated in the Marion County Processing Center.
Further questions regarding the kidnapping warrant should be directed to the Rio Rancho Police Department.
