One Injured in Newburg Twp


Sheriff Joseph M Underwood reports that on 07/11/2015 at 0207 A.M. his Deputies responded to Born St near Patterson Hill Road in Newburg Township in Cass County Michigan, for a single vehicle traffic crash. A vehicle driven by 50 year old Kenneth Duke of Jones, Michigan, was traveling west on Born Street and lost control of his vehicle ran off the roadway and stuck a tree. Duke was extracted from the vehicle and transported to Three Rivers ER and then flown to Bronson of Kalamazoo for his injuries. A Seatbelt was not worn at the time of the crash and Alcohol may have been a factor in the traffic crash. The crash remains under investigation.

Cass County Sheriff Deputies were assisted at the crash scene by Newburg Township Fire and Ambulance and Lifecare Ambulance.
