Search continued today for Ephrata man missing in Banks Lake
Near COULEE CITY, Wash. (11JULY2015) – Officials continued efforts this morning to find a man who is went missing and is presumed to have drowned in Banks Lake on Friday.
The missing man has been identified as Craig E. Plummer, age 69 of Ephrata. Plummer went missing while swimming from a boat with relatives. The rest of the swimming party were not injured and made it back to safety.
Starting at 5 a.m. Saturday morning, Grant County Sheriff’s Marine Unit deputies and Search and Rescue divers were back on the scene continuing to search, but they did not find Plummer’s body today. Resources are developing the plan for future search efforts.
“I’m very sorry to hear this terrible news, and I will be praying for Craig and his family,” said Sheriff Tom Jones.
