Pot Plants Discovered During Arrest Of A North Vernon Man

North Vernon – Indiana State Police Troopers discovered pot plants during the arrest of a North Vernon man.

On July 08, 2015 around 4:30 PM, troopers went to a residence on CR 600 South after receiving a tip that a wanted North Vernon man was hiding there. The suspect fled into a wooded area upon their arrival. An ISP canine was called to the scene to assist with a search. During a search of the area Trooper Randel Miller located several marijuana plants while the canine tracked down and apprehended the suspect.

Troopers arrested Taylor Wade 19, of North Vernon and charged him with one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony, Resisting Law Enforcement, Class A Misdemeanor, Possession of Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor and a Bartholomew and Jennings County warrant. Meth was located on Wade as he was being booked into the Jennings County jail.

Troopers also arrested Jason Graham 39, of Dupont and charged him with one count each of Possession of a Syringe, a Level 6 Felony, Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor and Cultivating Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor.

Wade and Graham were transported to the Jennings County jail where they were incarcerated. ISP Marijuana Eradication units seized the eleven pot plants.
