Just after 1:30 PM on Friday, July 10, 2015, Rutherford County Communications received a call reporting that a man and woman had been shot in a residence near the intersection of Harris-Henrietta Road and West Allen Road in Henrietta.
Rutherford County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with emergency response personnel from Rutherford County EMS, Rutherford County Rescue and Cliffside Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, Rutherford County deputies located Mrs. Darlene Robbins, age 61, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to Rutherford Regional Hospital in Rutherfordton.
Her husband, Mr. Ricky Robbins, age 65, also sustained a gunshot wound and was transported by air via Regional One where he expired en route to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in South Carolina.
The incident took place at 2394 Harris-Henrietta Road, the couple’s home.
It appears that no other persons were involved.
The investigation is on-going.
