On Tuesday, August 4th, neighborhoods throughout Sonoma County are invited to join forces with thousands of other communities nationwide for the “32nd Annual National Night Out”. From 4-10 p.m., residents in neighborhoods throughout Sonoma County are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors, law enforcement, and other government agencies.

National Night Out, which is sponsored by Target, Nextdoor.com, and the National Association of Town Watch and co-sponsored locally by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, CHP, and local Fire Departments, is designed to increase crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit and law enforcement-community partnerships.
