Vigo County—Today, the Criminal Investigation Division of the Indiana State Police Putnamville Post and the Vigo County Prosecutor’s Office, filed (15) additional felony counts against 67-year-old Thomas W. Julian of Terre Haute, IN.
New felony charges filed today in Vigo County Superior Court were: (8) counts of child molesting; (2) counts of child exploitation; (4) counts of child solicitation; and (1) count of possession of child pornography.
Related to the filing of new charges, Indiana State Police Detective Tony Guinn was able to positively identify two underage victims and develop probable cause which alleges Thomas Julian had sexual contact with the victims on numerous occasions and at various locations over a number of years.
Since the original arrest, Indiana State Police has received numerous tips and other information related to this case. Investigators are currently working through this information to identify potential witnesses, potential victims, and potential evidence. This could take some time.
Thomas Julian was originally arrested on June 23, 2015 after ISP Detectives from the Putnamville Post and investigators from the ISP Cybercrime and Investigative Technologies Section, as part of the Indiana Crimes Against Children Task Force, served a Vigo County Div 3 Court Search Warrant at Julian’s home at 2249 East Cottom Drive, Terre Haute, IN. At that time, officers located items related to child pornography and the production of child pornography. Julian was then charged with (3) counts of child exploitation and (1) count of possession of child pornography.
