Police Need Your Help to Identify Robbery Suspect
The Oakland Police Department is requesting assistance from the media and the community in identifying a robbery suspect. Investigators have released these photos of the person they believe to be responsible for robbing a woman on May 7, 2015, at 10:45 PM, in the 3600 block of International Boulevard.
The suspect is described as a male African-American, 20–25 years old, 5’5”, 150 pounds, dark complexion. The suspect was seen wearing a red and blue checkered shirt, possibly armed with unknown caliber handgun. A firearm was not seen during the commission of this crime.

BACKGROUND: On May 7, 2015 at 10:45 PM, officers responded to the 3600 block of International Boulevard on a report of a robbery that had just occurred. The victim was walking down the street when she was approached by the suspect, who told her he had a firearm. The suspect then directed her to an ATM located in a nearby business. The suspect directed the victim to withdraw money and hand it to him. Once the suspect obtained the money, he fled on foot with the loss.
The investigation is on-going and anyone with information is asked to contact the Oakland Police Department’s Robbery Unit at 510-238-3326 or Crime Stoppers of Oakland at 510-777-8572.
The Oakland Police Department and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest in this case.

-Be especially alert when entering and exiting your vehicle;
-Remember to lock your car door after entering your vehicle; and
