At about 2:24 this afternoon, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office Marine unit reported that the search teams located the body of the teen missing in the water of Lake Sonoma was located.
The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office will schedule an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
We have been close contact with the family, many of whom remained at Lake Sonoma throughout the entire search. We are respecting their wishes to not release their son’s identity at this time.
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office appreciates the assistance from our partners in public safety during this event. Our deepest condolences to the family in this time of loss.
